So if I could find the camera and the cord that hooks that little baby to the computer, I'd have pictures up from the 1300 mile journey to Ohio. But, alas, that would require me remembering where that was put. First of all, we left our great friends in Clovis, which was sad and not at all fun. At the time I really wasn't feeling very emotional about the whole thing because of all the stress to pass inspection on the House. What a crock that deal was. Our house wasn't that clean when we moved in!
So the trip off to Ohio started with our first leg, to Joplin, Missouri. We had a great time at our Uncle Adam and Aunt Tiffany's house. Our niece Grace loves the boys. She is a beautiful little girl. We had a trip to the community pool and it was really a blast. the kids have fish DNA I swear, they love the water so much. Justin had a line of kids wanting to be thrown in from the side of the pool. I was worried the life guards would put the ki-bosh on that, but nope. Then after all the fun in the sun we headed to Illinois, Indiana and finally Ohio. We got a great view of the arch in St. Louis, the Mighty Mississippi and the Colts Football stadium.
As for the house and all the movers, the new base etc....Well we really took a leap of faith buying a house "off the Internet" but it will work out. I can't complain about a finished basement, a deck, grass you can enjoy, buying new furniture for our dining room and living room, or that we made money buying the house! They gave us back the cash we put down on it. That was a great surprise. So there is a lot we can do to this place, the family who was here had no creativity, so now we can do with it what we will. Painting, new flooring, all the fun stuff.
The shopping here is wonderful, lots of fun ways to spend our cash. LOTS. The base is in separate sections. The area where Justin works at the hospital is attached to the housing area, the area for the Commissary and BX's is down the road a piece. As is the main section, where most of the people work, and it is very nice. There is green every where, you can't see where you are going, there are too many trees blocking the view off the roads, the way to get around here is little highways, the 4, 444, 844 etc. Traffic light thankfully. Plus we don't live close to the heart of Dayton. That is a real bonus. Our area is kinda rural, well having corn fields all over and possibly soy beans, make my little country girl soul feel at ease.
